At RHC, 100% of fixed asset accounting was managed using three sheets of an Excel file: Roll-forward Schedule, fixed asset list, and a CIP list. Each year, it was a struggle to manage the annual audit and the year-end close. Upon integrating with Epicor ERP, Jonathan Lanz was an excellent resource and teacher for our team, as he is a subject matter expert in Epicor accounting modules, especially the fixed assets module. We were able to import existing data from the Excel file into Epicor and adjust for disposals that occurred years ago, and maintain a single dataset for each year.
